Our Approach to Building Your Strategic Marketing Action Plan
Based on our experience, DWS Associates offers you a four step process for developing strategic marketing plans that can be implemented in as little time as one month.
Step 1: Discovery
In the first five to ten business days, our team meets with your leadership team in order to understand your culture, your goals and objectives and your operations. During this time we immerse ourselves in your business – reviewing your existing data as well as performing in-depth interviews with your staff, customers, vendors, partners and other key constituencies in order to perform a 360° analysis.
Step 2: Creating Consensus around the Plan
Over the next twenty to thirty business days, we work with your team in intense workshops in order to build consensus across the organization – a shared vision and understanding of the goals, objectives, strategies and tactics necessary to succeed. At the end of this phase, your organization will have an integrated strategic marketing action plan – one that clearly defines roles, responsibilities, timelines with milestones, budgets and performance-based metrics.
Step 3:Implementation
For the next sixty business days, focus is placed upon implementing the plan. During this time, our team works alongside yours in order to ensure success – all the while, we gather and analyze key metrics from the perspective of your customers, staff and other key audiences in order to drive optimization.
Step 4:Evaluation and Optimization
During this phase, our team leads another series of intense workshops aimed at optimizing performance based upon the analysis of key findings acquired during the Implementation phase. Once modifications have been agreed upon for the strategic marketing action plan, we return to Step 3: Implementation – so your organization develops an effective process for evaluating, optimizing and implementing successful marketing operations.
